Job Openings for Software Installation Specialist

Workforce Software is adding multiple positions, including Software Installation Specialist.

Job Functions:

• Obtaining proper version of software for deployment to customer site
• Preparing server environment (database systems, web servers, etc.) to receive installation of our software
• Work with customer DBAs and network administrators to install the software
• Apply patches and/or upgrades to the software
• Handle support issues related to software installation
• Diagnose performance and/or security
• The ability to travel is necessary (25%)

Mandatory Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Operating system scripting such as shell scripting
• Comfortable working with database servers and UNIX operating systems
• Knowledge of web-server configuration and installation

Desired Skills:

• Strong SQL skills
• Knowledge of directory servers such as Active Directory and LDAP
• Some programming experience
• Network administration experience
• End-user application support experience
